Phyllis D Goodpaster

Phyllis D Goodpaster, age 71, of Muncie, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, October 1, 2024.Phyllis Diane Goodpaster, 71, went to be with Jesus on Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on October 8, 1952 to Avery and Panzie Lindsay in Vine Ridge Tennessee. Phyllis married Richard Goodpaster on August 15, 1987.

Phyllis retired from Marsh bakery where she spent many years in the bakery decorating cakes. She was a member of Heritage Apostolic Tabernacle and served the Lord through the bus ministry, choir, outreach, and as a nursery attendant.

She left behind her legacy of children Betty Abbott, Laura Cooper (Denny), Amanda Matthews (Alvin), Patricia Crabtree, Rebecca Sole, Evelyn Webb (Ivan), Jennifer Harshman (Adam), Dustie Goodman (honorary daughter), Shelly White (honorary daughter), Tana Covey, Richard David Goodpaster, Sabrina Goodpaster, and grandchildren Richard “Willie” (Destiny), Bethany, Harley, Haylee (Cord), Hunter (Allie), Mickimsey, Jacob, Lindsay, Cody (Aaliyah), Brian (LaDelle), Hannah, Bryce, Blake, Trevor, Tanner (Kailyn), Morgan (Kylie), Keno, Lee, Eric, Chad, Oceanonna, Paris, Paige (Darreyll), Elijah and great-grandchildren Gwendolyn, Adalee, Isaac, Gracelynne, Freya, Kayne, Camden, Grayson, Olivia, Oaklynn, Kennah, Paisleigh, Clover, Adrian, Jasper, Dominic, Aurora, and Darryl. Phyllis is the sister of Sandra Kay, Deborah Jane (Mark), Charles Dale, Samuel Larry (Kathy), and Terry Allen.

Phyllis was proceeded in death by her parents and her siblings Gilbert Ray, Betty Ruth, Bobby Joe, Randal Keith, Barbara Kay, Anna Lou, and grandson Levi.

Funeral services will be held at Heritage Apostolic Tabernacle at 12:30 pm on Tuesday October 8, 2024 with Bishop Michael Perdue officiating. Family and friends may call from 11-12:30 prior to the service.
