Robert Eugene Dudley

Robert Eugene Dudley, 94, of Muncie, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 1, 2021, at I.U. Health Ball Memorial Hospital. He was born Sunday, September 25, 1927, the son of Nelson and Nellie (Clevenger) Dudley.

Bob graduated from Stoney Creek High School in 1945, and later enlisted in the U.S. Army, where he was honorably discharged in July 1947. On November 4, 1949, he married the love of his life, Greta Fisher, and they enjoyed almost seventy-two wonderful years together.

Bob had an outgoing personality, and never met a stranger. He enjoyed playing baseball in his younger years, watching the Cincinnati Reds, and was an avid bowler. He was very proud of his perfect 300 game. He was also a member of the Selma American Legion #437.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Greta; his children, Mike (Cindy) Dudley of Selma, Jeff (Linda) Dudley of Selma, and daughter, Terri (Jim) Walker of Tipton; six grandchildren, Heath (Jessie) Dudley, McKensie (Adam) Sorrell, Jennifer (Shane) Sites, Sarah (Brandon) Hazelbaker, Megan (Michael) Planalp, and Matthew (Ali) Walker; thirteen great-grandchildren, Nolan, Daxton, and Tatum Dudley, Ethan Monroe, Kamden and AnnMarie Gibson, Gabrielle Sites, Noah, Tucker, Leah, and Jensen Hazelbaker, and Cohen and Alaina Planalp.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Roger, Joe, and Everett.

Friends and family may call on Saturday, November 6, 2021, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Elm Ridge Funeral Home, 4600 West Kilgore Avenue, Muncie, Indiana 47304.

Services will be on Saturday, November 6, 2021, at 5:00 p.m. at Elm Ridge Funeral Home. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, masks are required as well as social distancing.
