IN THE CARE OF
Elm Ridge Funeral Home & Memorial Park
Robert “Frank” Lamp, 72, passed away on Saturday, February 3, 2024, at Indiana University Ball Memorial Hospital surrounded by his family.
Robert was born on October 6, 1951, the son of Robert and Virginia (Hanlon) Lamp. Robert was a devoted husband to his beloved wife of fifty-four years, Donna. Together, they created a beautiful family that brought him immense joy. Frank worked for many years at Borg Warner. He had a passion for westerns, blaring old country music, and always enjoyed his sweets. He was especially fond of his “four-legged” girls, and they were the only ones allowed to sit in his favorite chair.
More than anything, Robert prioritized his daughters, Renee, Zoe-Ann, and Robin, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, considering them the light of his life.
Robert is survived by his wife, Donna Lamp; daughters, Renee McGahey and Robin (Doug) Poland; son-in-law. Charles Dearduff Jr.; grandchildren, Amber (Tristan) Yunker, Alisha McGahey, Charles “Chuckie” (Arlyne) Dearduff, Brittany (Travis) Pierce, Tyler (Amy) Dearduff, Josh (Ashley) Dearduff, Shelby (Jack) Whitaker, and Devon (Ashlie) Poland; seventeen great-grandchildren; and siblings, Bill (Susie) Lamp and Gladys (Cecil) King.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Zoe-Ann Dearduff; great-granddaughter, Rylie Dearduff; siblings, Ted Lamp and Dorothy Allar; and his four-legged girls, Lady and Sophia.
Family and friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Friday, February 9, 2024 at Maple Grove Church of God.
