Obituary
Age 102 of Hamilton, passed away on Saturday September 5, 2015 at his home. He was born in Hamilton on February 19, 1913 the son of Arthur and Lydia (Hass) Sapp. Bert was a 1931 graduate of Hamilton High School and attended the University of Cincinnati. On October 5, 1935 in Hamilton he married Helen D. Koger who passed away October 28, 1980. On June 27, 1981 in Hamilton he married Mary Ann Born who passed away March 30, 2014. He operated Bert's TV Sales and Service for over 40 years. He was a member of Redeemer Church, Hugh L. Bates Lodge #686 F&AM, Valley of Cincinnati Scottish Rite and Bert was a member of the Shrine Antique Car Caravan since 1973. He was an avid bowler and enjoyed many summers at Indian Lake. He is survived by his daughter, Dottie (Don) Philpot; grandsons, Chad (Carrie) Philpot and Phillip Born; great-grandchildren, Ethan, Rayann, and Elisha Philpot. In addition to his parents and spouses, he was preceded in death by a brother, Waldo Sapp. Funeral service will be held at Webb Noonan Kidd Funeral Home, 240 Ross Ave., on Thursday September 10th at 10am with Rev. Kim L. Katterheinrich and Rev. Jim McClaren officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday September 9th from 6pm to 8pm with Masonic and Scottish Rite services at 7:30pm. Memorial contributions may be made in Bert's memory to Shriner Burns Institute, 3229 Burnet Ave., Cincinnati, OH 45229. Bert's family extends a heartfelt thank you to all of his caregivers, especially Jackie Sizemore, Brenda Windsor, Kat O'Neil and Hospice of Cincinnati.
