Robert "Bob" F. Staggs, 92, passed away Sunday, December 18, 2016 at Morrison Woods, Muncie.
He was born May 28, 1924 in Muncie to Charles and Beulah (Dill) Staggs.
Bob proudly served his country in the U. S. Army having been in Normandy and The Battle of the Bulge.
He had worked for Coca-Cola, Mother's Cookies, and also spent most of his life working as a Ferrier/Blacksmith.
Bob enjoyed horse racing and was the very first patron to enter Hoosier Park.
He is survived by his sons, Tom (Donna) Staggs and Clint (Beth) Staggs; step-daughter, Peggy Sue Cottrell; brother, Jim (Joan) Staggs; sisters, Elnora Burns and Betty Sue Robold; grandchildren, Lauren (Brandon) Cappellari, Dena Staggs, David Staggs, and Amy Staggs; several nieces and nephews.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Joan Staggs and second wife, Gonda Staggs.
Services will be Thursday, December 22, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Elm Ridge Funeral Home, 4600 West Kilgore Avenue, Muncie, IN 47304 with Rev. Claude Robold officiating.
Visitation will be Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at the funeral home from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Thursday.
Burial will take place at Elm Ridge Memorial Park.
