Ruth was a person whose gentle spirit and warm heart touched everyone fortunate enough to know her. She loved to go camping and fishing with her siblings, and when she wasn’t outside casting a line, her creativity flourished through crochet and needlepoint. With patience and care, she transformed simple threads into beautiful keepsakes—each stitch a reflection of her kindness, thoughtfulness, and artistic eye.
Ruth is survived by her brother, John Bright; sisters, Vivian Bailey and Tina Sailers; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in passing by her parents, Robert Brooks, Lillian Bright and James Bright; brothers, Kevin Bright, Bobby Brooks, Rick Bright, Jimmy Brooks; and a sister, Sharon Rench.
A graveside service will take place at 10:00 AM, Saturday, October 25, 2025, at Elm Ridge Memorial Park, 4600 West Kilgore Avenue, Muncie, Indiana, 47304.
