Obituary

Jewell C. Stidham, age 93 of Portland, Tennessee, formerly of Hamilton, Ohio, Irvine, Kentucky, Oakridge, Tennessee, Round Rock, Texas, and Martinsville, Indiana, passed away at Skyline Hospice in Madison, Tennessee on Friday, April 17, 2015. She was born in Irvine, Kentucky on July 10, 1921 the daughter of Hobart and Minerva (Collins) Tackett. On August 31, 1940 in Hamilton, Ohio she married Charles Stidham. They were married 62 years when he preceded her in death on February 24, 2002. Jewell was employed at RCA, Walmart, and as a waitress. She retired in 1995. Jewell was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church. She was also a member of Women of the Moose, Senior Regent in Aurora, Colorado. Jewell enjoyed golf, sewing, crocheting, and loved to travel. She is survived by her children, Patricia A. (Eloy) Sedillo, Charles L. Stidham, and Steven A. (Debbie) Stidham; 9 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a sister, Hilda Cox; and brothers, James Tackett and Raymond Tackett.
