

She was born in Muncie, Indiana, on Tuesday, November 16, 1937, the daughter of Charles and Alice (Welsh) Badders. She married Bert Clapper and they shared fifty-one years together before he passed away in October of 2009.
A lifelong resident of Muncie, Shelba devoted her married life to keeping a wonderful house, taking care of her husband, and raising her sons. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She also loved to play crossword puzzles and solitaire.
Shelba is survived by her sons, Eric Clapper (S.O. Tina Sargeant), and Robbie Clapper; brother, Stephen Badders (Cindy); sister, Saundra Disher; sister-in-law, Linda Badders; grandchildren, Brent Clapper, Kristopher Clapper (Lauren), Brandon Clapper (Ashley Smith), and Courtney Clapper (Michael Taylor); great-grandchildren, Gentry Clapper, Hallie Clapper, Brandon Clapper Jr, Ryleigh Clapper, Bayleigh Clapper, Braxton Clapper, Charlie Clapper; step-great-grandchildren, Mason and Taylor Davis.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bert; parents, Charles and Alice Badders; infant son, Jamie Clapper; brother, Michael D. Badders.
Family and friends may call from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 10, 2021, at Elm Ridge Funeral Home, 4600 West Kilgore Avenue, Muncie, Indiana 47304. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, masks and social distancing are required.
Services will be Tuesday, August 10, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. at Elm Ridge Funeral Home. Graveside service will follow at Elm Ridge Memorial Park. Reverend Dr. Rusty Clements will officiate.
