Susan Ileen (O’Neal) Aguilar, 64, of Muncie, gained her wings on Monday, October 4, 2021, at The Woodlands.

She was born in Muncie, Indiana, on Sunday, June 23, 1957, the daughter of Lewis R. O’Neal and Edith A. (Clark) O’Neal. She married Jose Aguilar in 1974, and they shared two daughters. Her fiance’ of thirty years has been Andrew Thourmond, and he survives.

Susan lived most of her life in Muncie. She was feisty, and not afraid to tell you how she felt. She enjoyed dining out and her drink of choice was always Diet Coke. She watched cooking shows on television, and played card games. Susan loved her family very much, and Thanksgiving and Christmas were her favorite holidays.

Susan is survived by her fiance’, Andrew Thourmond; daughter, Amanda (Abby) Aguilar; brothers, Danny (Tonya) O’Neal, Russell O’Neal, and Ralph (Dawnell) O’Neal; grandchildren, Lydia Gregory (Devon Rumfelt), Alicia Gregory, and Devon Gregory; several nieces and nephews and their families.

Susan was preceded in death by her husband, Jose Aguilar; parents, Lewis, in 2009, and Edith O’Neal, in 1996; a daughter, Sabrina Gregory in 2017; and a sister, Cynthia O’Neal in 2017.

No services have been planned. Cremation will take place. Elm Ridge Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.

Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at for the family.
