

Shirley F. Crawford, age 72, died at Fort Hamilton Hospital in Hamilton, Ohio, on Sunday, August 30, 2015. She will be remembered for her fun-loving sense of humor and infectious laugh.Born February 14, 1943 in Hamilton, Ohio, Shirley was an avid animal lover and dedicated to animal rescue and rehabilitation. She devoted her life to giving a voice to animals, particularly cats, believing that all lives matter and every animal deserves compassion and kindness.She held a number of positions throughout her life including work as a flight attendant and administrative assistant as well as time spent working for the Fernald closure project. Relatives and friends are welcome to remember and celebrate Shirley's life.Shirley is preceded in death by her parents, Clay and Alice Crawford, her brother, Clay Junior Crawford and her great niece, Caroline Jones.Survivors include her sisters Phyllis Jones of Hamilton, Ohio and Joan Ohlinger of Glen Ellyn, Illinois. She is also survived by eight nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews. Visitation will be on Saturday, September 5th, from 10:00-10:30 at the Rose Mausoleum Chapel at Rose Hill Burial Park 2124 Princeton Rd. Hamilton, Ohio, followed by a memorial service and burial.
