Toni Janine Parker (Sargent), age 79, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 22, 2024, at Heritage Woods Senior Living Community in Noblesville, Indiana. Born on February 23, 1945, in Muncie, Indiana, the daughter of Helen and Eugene Sargent, she was a loving mother and grandmother, a cherished member of her community, and a devoted employee at the Muncie Public Library, where she dedicated many years of service.
Toni was a proud alumna of Royerton High School, where she served on reunion committees, and attended Ball State Teachers College, and Indiana Business College. She was a member of Tri Kappa sorority, Delta Phi, and Gamma chapters, involved in Muncie Community Singers, and an active volunteer at her children's schools. Toni married her husband, John K. Parker, on May 3, 1969, and moved to Germany temporarily while John served in the military. They spent 50 years together until his passing. Together, they enjoyed boating in Dale Hollow, motorcycle rides, and many years of vacationing in Seaside, Florida with their kids and granddaughters. Toni adored spending time with her family, especially her three granddaughters, who knew her as 'Memaw'. She loved watching the girls perform and participate in their sports and activities.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Deborah (Parker) Mohn (David); son, Ryan Parker (Melissa); and granddaughters, Courtney Mohn, Taylor Mohn, and Hayden Parker, brother-in-laws Dan Parker (Beth), Tom Parker (Tammy) and Scott Parker, and several nieces and nephews. Toni was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 50 years, John K. Parker; her mother, Helen M. Sargent; and father, Eugene D. Sargent.
