Walter B. Robinson

He was born May 22, 1929, in Hartford City, the son of Walter E. and Esther D. (Hummer) Robinson. Walter was a lifelong educator in Delaware County. He began teaching at Selma, then McKinley Jr. High School and retired from Southside High School. Walter taught in the area for almost seventy years. He spent winters in Panama City Beach, Florida for seventeen years.

Survivors include two sons, Steven D. Robinson and Michael D. Robinson; daughter, Mary Kathryn Prater; sister-in-law, Wilma Robinson; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter E. and Esther D. (Hummer) Robinson; first wife, Dorthadel (Lowery) Robinson; second wife, Beverly J. (Adler) Robinson and brother, William D. Robinson.

Services will be held 1:00 p.m., Saturday, May 19, 2018, at Elm Ridge Funeral Home, 4600 West Kilgore Avenue, Muncie, Indiana 47304 with Dr. J. David Cooper officiating. Private entombment will follow in Elm Ridge Mausoleum.

Family and friends may call from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m., Saturday at Elm Ridge Funeral Home.
