He was born March 31, 1954 in Muncie, the son of William D. Barber Sr. and Leona L. Barber.
Bill was a dreamer who enjoyed building model trains and airplanes, fixing up old cars, and preparing meals to share with others. He had a special love for animals and gave his time to helping others, especially through the Boy Scouts. Bill was a military aviation enthusiast and enjoyed visits to area museums and airshows.He enjoyed teaching young people new skills and was always ready to lend a hand or offer kind advice.
Bill is survived by his mother, Leona Barber; sisters, Amy Clevenger (Mark) and Ann Kiser; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in passing by his father, William Barber Sr.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM, Thursday, August 7, 2025, at Elm Ridge Memorial Park. Anyone wishing to make a memorial contribution may direct that to the charity of their choice or to the Wounded Warrior Project, an organization Bill strongly supported.
