OBITUARY

William B. Hill

August 14, 1937July 30, 2020

Muncie – William B. Hill, 82 of Muncie, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 30, 2020, at home. He was born in Bell Farm, Kentucky, on August 14, 1937, the son of Charlie Hill and Minnie (Gregory) Hill. William moved to Muncie in the early 1950s. He married Thelma (Nelson) Hill, and they shared sixty years together.

William worked at Indiana Bridge for twenty-seven years, before retiring. He loved spending time with his family. He was a John Wayne fan, loved western movies on television, and loved Blue Grass music. He was also a huge Donald Trump fan. He had a hat and shirt with Trump on them, and proudly wore them everywhere. William attended Westside Baptist Church faithfully too.

William is survived by his wife, Thelma; a son, Donald Hill (wife, Teresa); daughter, Brenda Powers; daughter-in-law, Tina Hill; brother, Earl Hill (wife, Liz); grandchildren, Ashley Miller, Caila Hill, Cyndi Powers, Lea Hill, and Bryan Powers; great-grandchildren, Lainee Williams, Lacey Williams, Aric Lucy, Dakari Hill, Carter Herron, and Khyrin Harris; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sons, Odis Hill and Jeffery Hill; sisters, Violet Crabtree, Grace Crabtree, Stella Tucker, Velma Swearingen, and Anna Howell; brothers, Ralph Hill, Ottis Hill, and John Hill.

Funeral services will be Saturday, August 8, 2020, at 1:00 p.m. at Elm Ridge Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 4600 W Kilgore Ave, Muncie, Indiana 47304, with Pastor Larry Waters officiating.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. prior to the service at Elm Ridge Funeral Home.

Due to the Covid19 pandemic a mask is required at the funeral home, and please remember to be safe and adhere to the six foot social distancing.
