William "Bill" Freeman Miller

In passing from this life, he joined his wife Ruby of 66 years, and his brothers (Lee, Daniel, Henry, Eli, and Wendell) and sisters (Edna, Nancy, Alice, Emma, and Anne). He is survived by two daughters: Doris (John) Byerly and Rita (Nick) Augustino, 5 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren.

Bill was born October 10, 1923, to Abner and Lizzie Miller of Plain City, Ohio. He married Ruby Klinger on March 4, 1956. They lived in Columbus, Ohio, for many years. They both enjoyed traveling, especially taking family trips to Niagara Falls and the Smokey Mountains.

Bill was a long time employee of General Electric as an appliance technician, from where he retired in 1988. He was a deacon and song leader of Calvary Church in Columbus, Ohio, for many years, and then deacon and song leader of Grace Fellowship in Plain City, Ohio, for several years after. Bill and Ruby moved to Muncie, Indiana, in 2014. Bill was a resident at Envive of Muncie and enjoyed participating in various activities there.

Family and friends may call from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM, Thursday, July 2, 2026, at Elm Ridge Funeral Home, 4600 West Kilgore Avenue, Muncie, Indiana, 47304. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM.
