Zora L. Clevenger, Jr.

He was born Tuesday, August 19, 1941, in Muncie, Indiana, the son of Zora L. and Lillian (Perkins) Clevenger. Zora grew up in Muncie, Indiana; he worked as a warehouse supervisor for Indiana Gas, until his early retirement in 2003. Sonny then worked as a loan officer at National City Bank in Indianapolis, retiring from the bank in 2008. He delivered meals for Life Stream for several years. Sonny enjoyed all sports, and enjoyed keeping stats of all the players, including his grandchildren, when they were involved in their sport activities. NASCAR racing was another favorite sport. Sonny's family was a very special part of his life, and he loved spending time with his grandsons.

He married the love of his life on June 5, 1965, Dee Clevenger, and they were married for fifty-two years. Also surviving are their two children, son, Brian L. Clevenger; daughter, Cathy S. (husband Richard) Cook; two grandsons, Cameron and Carter Cook; and one brother, Charles Thompson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and two sisters, Glenna Sue O'Dell, and JoAnne Briggs.

Family and friends may call at Elm Ridge Funeral Home, 4600 W. Kilgore Avenue, Muncie, Indiana 47304 from 11:00 a.m., until 1:00 p.m., Saturday, March 3, 2018.

Services will be held 1:00 p.m., Saturday, March 3, 2018, at Elm Ridge Funeral Home with Pastor Jeff Ellis officiating. Burial will be at a later date at Elm Ridge Memorial Park.
