Barbara Ann Williams Lang

Barbara Ann Williams Lang, age 87, of Smyrna, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, May 14, 2023, at NHC of Murfreesboro. Mrs. Lang was the daughter of the late Beatrice Van Norman and Samuel Thomas Williams, Sr. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Alton K. Lang in 2021 and brother, Tommy Williams. She is survived by daughters, Ramona Ann Lang Lewis and her husband Jerry Wayne Lewis and Patsy Yvonne Lang Canter; grandchildren, Kyle Wayne Lewis, Timothy Edmund Lewis and his wife Lindsey Marie Lewis, Leslie Renee Canter Trussell and her husband Ben David Trussell; and great grandson, Troy Michael Lewis.

She was a member at Stones River Baptist Church. Mrs. Lang lived in McComb, Mississippi until 1976 when the family moved to Smyrna, Tennessee. She worked at various part-time jobs while living in McComb. After moving to Tennessee, she worked at Capital Airlines from 1979-1984 until they closed. After that she baby sat her granddaughter and others at her home.

Mrs. Lang enjoyed reading and embroidery. What she enjoyed and cherished the most was spending time with her grandchildren.

The family wishes to thank the nurses and staff at NHC in Murfreesboro for their excellent care of Mrs. Lang during her recent rehab stay.

Graveside services to celebrate Mrs. Lang will be at One O’clock the afternoon of Saturday, May 20, 2023, at Roselawn Memorial Gardens with Rev. Drew Shelley officiating. Friends are cordially invited to visitation also Saturday, May 20, 2023, from Eleven O’clock in the morning until One O’clock at Roselawn Funeral Home.
