

Betty was born in Memphis, Tenn and later moved to Smyrna. She was a long-time member of the Eastern Stars.
A devoted homemaker and caretaker, Betty had a deep love for family and simple joys. She had a passion for her flowers and enjoyed her gardening, canning, making jellies, and was known for her delicious home cooked meals. Betty would always say to cook extra just in case someone stopped by. She was famous within the family for her Chocolate Pies and Banana Pudding. She enjoyed traveling with her husband Rodney and making cherished memories on trips to Hawaii.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Jessie James and Jewell Dove, 2 children Glenn Youngblood and Debbie Youngblood. 4 siblings, James “Bill” Dove, Joyce Ball, Ruth Gilbert & Johnny Dove, 1 granddaughter, Shannon D. Youngblood.
Betty is survived by her loving husband of 41 and a half years, Rodney Earl Jones, children, Gary Lynn Youngblood (Julie) and Donna Jean Youngblood Butler (Rickey); eight grandchildren, Michelle Youngblood, Alicia Butler Carver, Christopher Butler (Brigitte), Steven Wright, Melissa Youngblood Wood, Jennifer Youngblood Hunter, Gary Youngblood Jr, ; and 6 great-grandchildren. Ariel Leinard, Brayden Baker, Prestiss Wood, McKinley Williams, Grace Williams and Heidi Youngblood. She also had many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Pallbearers will be Chris Butler, Steven Wright, Mike Patterson, Herbie Bivalaqua, Chris Entwisle and Johnny Dove
Her kindness, warmth, and nurturing spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
A Visitation will be held, Monday September 22, 2025 from 1:00 pm until the Funeral Service 3:00 pm all held at Roselawn Funeral Home, Murfreesboro, TN. Graveside Service to follow.
