Carolyn Sue Parker

Carolyn Sue “Susie” Parker, age 87, of Smyrna, Tennessee, passed away on the evening of Thursday, October 16, 2025, at Tristar Stonecrest Medical Center. Mrs. Parker was the daughter of the late Robert Earl Killingsworth and Florence Stephens Killingsworth Conner.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Ottis “Buddy” Parker; children, Robin Garcia and her husband Rene or “Nay” as Susie called him, Robert Lee Kelley and his wife Connie, Kathy Sue Kelley, Lynn Ann Shepperson and Dawn Kristie Parker-Boner and her husband Jay; sister, Phyllis Woodside and her husband Larry; 10 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

A gathering of family and friends will be on Tuesday, October 21, 2025 at Roselawn Funeral Home from Four O’clock until Eight O’clock.

Mrs. Parker was a very talented person. She loved to crochet dolls and give them to people as a gift. She quilted and sewed and gave away those quilts because she was also such a giving person. She was well loved by so many because she was such a kind hearted soul. She was an extraordinary cook. She would travel and see lots of places. When she returned home, she would research some of her favorite dishes from her trip and make them herself. A couple of her guilty pleasures were to play the slot machines and scratch offs. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
