A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2026, from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm at Roselawn Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens, 5350 NW Broad Street, Murfreesboro, TN 37129.
Cheryl was, by nature, a very private person, yet those who were welcomed into her life knew the steadiness of her devotion and the quiet strength of her love for family. She cherished time spent together and found particular enjoyment in sharing outings and exciting activities in Sumner County.
She delighted in the enduring comfort of classic films—The Ten Commandments, The Sound of Music, and The Wizard of Oz among her favorites—and she was an avid reader, especially drawn to biographies and the lives they preserved and illuminated. She also enjoyed dining out, with a special fondness for Chef's Market and any place serving Mexican food.
Cheryl appreciated life’s simple pleasures and routines, including a daily glass of wine—faithfully timed, as she liked to note, to the hour she had read was the proper place to begin. She followed the Alabama Crimson Tide football team with genuine passion, and she held a special tenderness for cats, whose companionship she treasured.
Cheryl will be remembered with respect and gratitude by all who loved her, and most especially by the family to whom she gave her heart and her years.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital in memory of Cheryl.
