Christopher Upton Selby

CHRISTOPHER UPTON SELBY 75, of Murfreesboro, TN, passed away on June 10, 2021 at Alive Hospice in Murfreesboro. He was a devoted member of The Refuge Church in Murfreesboro. Chris was an amazing graphic artist for most of his life developing logos, signs, silk screen, murals and gold-leaf masterpieces in Maryland, Washington D.C., Florida and Tennessee. After he developed serious health issues with diabetes and Parkinson’s disease, he retired and wrote a bible-based fictional record of Jesus’ death and resurrection titled, "The Body is Missing" available on Amazon. Chris was the youngest son of well-known deceased ophthalmologist Dr. George Derwood Selby and Marie Peterson Selby of Silver Spring, Maryland. His oldest brother George Jr. Preceded him in death of cancer at the age of 32, along with his stepson Todd Stemper in 2012. Survivors include: His older brother John Tremaine of Los Angeles, California. His stepson: David Stemper including his wife Christina Houseden. And their children Joshua and Caitlyn Stemper of Shelbyville, TN. His oldest daughter Jennifer Elizabeth Selby (Cook), her last known where abouts were in New Hampshire. Son Adam Christopher Selby and his wife Rosetta Stelzer, and their children Ember and Korla Selby of Petersburg. And youngest daughter Amanda Beth Selby and her husband Jason Underwood, with their fur babies Dusty Octavius, and Princess Olivia, of Tullahoma, and Dusty was his favorite. He was a father and a grandfather, an author, an artist. He touched the lives of many and for those who knew him there will be a gap in their heart from his passing.
