David Lawrence Buckley, Sr.

David L. Buckley, Sr., age 80, of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday, December 5, 2020 at The Waters of Smyrna. He was the son of the late David Benjamin and Jane Ann Harrington Buckley. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Marilyn Ann Buckley, who passed in 2016 and son, David L. Buckley, Jr., who passed away in 2017. He is survived by his daughters, Debby Shultz and her husband Tim, Diane Weber and her husband Eric and Dawn Sharpton and her husband Chris; son, Dennis Buckley and his wife Libby; sister, Jeanne Goshen and her husband John; brothers, Bob Buckley and his wife Judy , Jim Buckley and his wife Toni, and Steve Buckley and his wife Nessa; 18 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Services to celebrate Mr. Buckley will be at Two O’clock the afternoon of Thursday, December 10, 2020 at Roselawn Funeral Home with Jimmy Carver officiating. Placement will follow in the Mausoleum at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends are cordially invited to visitation Thursday from Twelve O’clock noon until the service begins at Two O’clock. Mr. Buckley was a veteran, having served in the United States Air Force. He was a longtime member of Westwood Baptist Church and was the owner of Buckley’s Dental Lab of Murfreesboro. He enjoyed nature, fishing and vacationing in upper Michigan.
