Delma Ann Taylor, age 71, passed on Sunday, November 1, 2026, at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Mrs. Taylor was raised in Rockvale, Tennessee, to the late William Charles and Berchie Pullum Adcock. She was the wife of the late John Anthony “Tony” Taylor, who passed away in 2022.
Mrs. Taylor will be remembered as a beloved presence in the lives of those who knew her—marked by a steady patience, a generous spirit, and a selfless way of showing up for family in both ordinary days and important moments. Whether in the quiet comfort of home, where she found a sense of safety, or on the road traveling to support her son, she carried herself with a gracious constancy that made others feel cared for.
She enjoyed bowling and especially loved traveling to her son’s bowling tournaments, turning those trips into vacations and meaningful time together. Her travels took her to Arkansas, Kentucky, and Illinois, among other places—each journey reflecting her devotion and the simple joy she found in being present for the people she loved.
Mrs. Taylor was also an accomplished golfer who won many trophies, a testament to her dedication and the satisfaction she took in doing things well. She loved to cook until a stroke no longer allowed her to do so, yet her giving nature remained evident in the ways she continued to care for others. She also delighted in hummingbirds and loved Elvis Presley.
Mrs. Taylor is survived by her son, Steven Taylor; sister, Alma Patton and her husband Raymond; brother, William Charles Adcock, Jr.; brother in law, Edward Watkins; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by sisters, Juanita Watkins and Thelma Hayes.
