Donald R. Stricklin

Donald Ray Stricklin, born January 17, 1933 in Waynesboro, TN, lived in Smyrna, Tennessee, was promoted to Glory, Thursday, April 22, 2021 from his home in Smyrna surrounded by his family. Donald was proceeded in death by his wife of 69 years, Mary Stricklin, James Franklin Stricklin (father), Hester Jewell Stricklin (mother) and Bill Stricklin (brother).

He is survived by his twin sister Dorothy Pollock and younger sister Sue (Glenn) Skimehorne, sister-in-law Emma Nola Stricklin, his four children, Marina (Ted) Sadler of Murfreesboro TN, Owen (Barbara) Stricklin, DeLand FL, Angela (Eugene) Cox, Lavergne TN, Timothy Stricklin, Smyrna TN. Seven Grandchildren, Lucas Cox, Nicole (Jason) Dryden, Dustin (Karie) Cox, Matthew (Ashley) Cox, Ashley (Alex) Neusse, Jeffery Stricklin and Mary Elizabeth (George) Lytle and eleven great grandchildren.

Donald was a retired Tool and Die Maker for Better Built Aluminum Manufacturing Company in Smyrna TN. He was a member of Smyrna Life Point Church. He served in Army during the Korean War. He will always be known for his sense of humor, loving his family and the love for His Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Service of Celebration for Mr. Stricklin will be at One O’clock the afternoon of Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at Roselawn Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to the service. Placement will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. The service will be “Live Streamed” on our Facebook page, Roselawn Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens- Murfreesboro, TN.
