Dorothy Maxreen “Dot” Clark, age 87, passed way on January 8, f2021. She was born on September 10, 1933 to the late Sam Travis and Jennie Lou Hendrix Travis. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by husband, Jim Clark; infant grandson, Jason Curry; sisters, Katherline “Kat” Donnell, Willie Bell Cawthon and Joy McDaniel; brothers, Aaron Travis, Charles “Mink” Travis and Sam “Bud” Travis.
Dorothy was a member of Bellwood Baptist Church; she worked at City Café for many years and retired from General Electric. She was an avid Nascar fan and loved going to races, especially Daytona.
She is survived by her daughter, Arlene (Lynn) Currey; son, Brian (Diane) Boone of Carmel, Indiana; sisters, Mary Ann (Melvin) Fann, Betty Landon, Edna (Lloyd) Davis; sisters-in-law, Marie Travis, Sara Travis; six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be conducted Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at 2:00 in Roselawn Memorial Gardens with Pastor Brian Boone officiating. In lieu of flowers, make donations to Alzheimer’s.
The family would like to thank Boulevard Terrace and Glen Oaks Nursing Home for their care.
