Floyd “Pete” Robert Ferguson age 92 of Murfreesboro, TN passed away on Sunday, December 9, 2018 surrounded by his family. Pete was born in Poplar Bluff, Missouri on October 1, 1926. Mr. Ferguson is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Emma Jean Ferguson, daughters Donna Jean Ferguson and Terry F Hovey (Michael D) son Doug Ferguson (Cheri B), step children, Johnny Forrester (Brenda) and Wanda Forrester Briley; grand children Terri D Hacker Malerbi (Joao C), Aaron J Hacker (Shaunna), Amanda Ferguson Rucker, Christopher Ferguson, Nicole Ferguson, Jay Forrester (Robin), Becky Forrester Tedford (Keith), Amber Briley Colvin (Heath); great grandchildren Dakota Hacker, Sierra Hacker, Savannah Hacker, Anquan Rucker, Azia Rucker, Addison Tedford, Sam Tedford, Jack Forrester, Abbie McKnight and Aidan McKnight; great great grandchildren Braxton Campbell, and Abbigail Davis. Services to celebrate Mr. Ferguson's life will be held at Two O’clock on the afternoon of Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at Roselawn Funeral Home in Murfreesboro. Placement with military honors will follow the service in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Murfreesboro. Mr. Ferguson proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was also a long time truck driver hauling automobiles with a perfect driving record of 45 years. He retired to his farm which he continued to work and he also volunteered as a truck driver for the Churches of Christ Disaster Relief. He also loved the game of golf and southern gospel music.
