Gordon Paul Letson

Paul Letson, age 80, of Smyrna, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, January 30, 2025, at The Arbors at Azalea Court. Mr. Letson was was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Letson. Mr. Letson is survived by his daughters, Stacey Hatcher and her husband Michael, and Danielle Hagewood and her husband Matt; son, Todd Letson; grandchildren, Jayce Hatcher and his wife Molly, Collin Hatcher, Lincoln Hatcher and Sawyer Hatcher, Amelia Hagewood and Roman Hagewood; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Roy, Edna and Marie.

Service to celebrate Mr. Letson will be at Two o’clock in the afternoon of Saturday, February 8, 2025, at Roselawn Funeral Home with burial to follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will also be Saturday, February 8, 2025, from Twelve noon until the service begins at Two o’clock.

Mr. Letson was born in Mobile, Alabama, but was raised at Childhaven in Cullman, Alabama. He was a longtime member of the Church of Christ and attended Smyrna Church of Christ. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy. For many years, he was a Dialysis Technician at the Nashville Veterans Administration Hospital. After retiring from VA Hospital, he began working for the State of Tennessee Department of Transportation as a materials handler. Mr. Letson was a huge Alabama Crimson Tide fan, loved to go fishing and enjoyed raising vegetables in his garden.
