Helen V. Winfrey

Helen went to be with the Lord on April 29th, 2016 at 10:43. Her final days were spent surrounded by family and friends that she touched in a very memorable life. Helen lived the majority of her life in Smyrna, Tennessee. She Graduated from Smyrna High School in 1959.

Helen is proceeded in death by her parents Hardin Cathey and Lucille Evans and grandson Christopher Gray.

Helen is survived by her husband of 56 years, James E. Winfrey, Sr. and children Elise and Lou Gray, Teresa and David Moss, and James Winfrey, Jr. She was a grandmother to five and great grandmother to five.

Helen’s proudest moments include serving as a Volunteer at Miracle Baptist Church. From teaching Sunday school for teenage girls and serving with the Senior Group. To leave thoughts and memories, visit www.roselawnfh.com.

Services to celebrate Mrs. Winfrey will be at One O’clock the afternoon of Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at Roselawn Funeral Home with Dr. Todd Kirkland officiating. Placement will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends are cordially invited to visitation on Monday evening from Four to Eight O’clock and Tuesday morning from Eleven O’clock till service time at One at Roselawn Funeral Home, 5350 NW Broad Street, Murfreesboro, TN 37129, 615-893-2742.
