James "Jim" William Tallman

James was a family man who enjoyed spending time with those he loved most. He especially enjoyed fishing, vacation trips, and making memories with his family. During his school years, he attended Madison High School, where he played football.

James is survived by his beloved wife, Gail Tallman; his sons, William Tallman and Allen Tallman; his sister, Katherine Cantrell; his brother, Donald Lewis Mayton; three stepchildren, Marcia Davenport, Will Parker, and Reed Curtis; thirteen step-grandchildren and fourteen great-step-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his birth father, William Lewis Mayton; adopted father, William Tallman; stepsons, Donald Parker and Clint Parker; sisters, Brenda Mayton, Julia Wurster, Tina Kimbro, and Claira Kimbro

A memorial celebration will be at 3:00 pm the afternoon of Tuesday, July 28, 2026, in the Mausoleum at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, 5350 NW Broad Street, Murfreesboro, Tennessee 37129. Those wishing to attend are invited to begin gathering at 2:30 pm.
