

Mrs. Jimmie Neal Rankin Pirtle, age 88, passed away Saturday, November 21, 2015 at her home. Mrs. Pirtle was born September 4, 1927 in Trousdale County to the late Jesse Carr and Willie Swaney Howell Rankin. She is survived by her husband of almost 66 years, Teachout Pirtle; sons, Gary Pirtle of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Danny (Lisa) Pirtle of Murfreesboro and Keith (Regina) Pirtle of Rockvale; grandchildren, Jennifer Pirtle, Bethany (Josh) Pirtle Wood, Jessica Pirtle, Kim (Michael) Pirtle Jackson all of Murfreesboro, Mark (Mary) Pirtle of Thompson Station, Heather (Jason) Pirtle Wikert of Sequim, WA, Chris (Shirley) Pirtle of Oxnard, CA, Ryan Vincion and Danielle (Brett) Vincion Hines of Rockvale; and 11 great grandchildren. Services to celebrate Mrs. Pirtle will be at One O’clock the afternoon of Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at Roselawn Funeral Home with Tim Mitchell and Nicholas Jones officiating. Placement will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Pirtle was a homemaker devoted to her family, and was a member of the Blackman Church of Christ. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Lewis Rankin and five sisters, Leone Story, Annie Sullins, Georgia Tomlinson, Sallie Chumley and Margaret Alsup. Traditional floral offering are appreciated or memorials may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
