In life God blesses us with special people. People who love us for who we are. Two of these special people are J.R. and Stella Hercules. From Florida to Tennessee, the blessings of friendship and fellowship enriched our lives. Thanks, J.R. and Stella, for the sewing challenges. Gave us a chance to create, in love, things that you would enjoy and share. J.R., you will be missed and remembered as our "rare" special friend. Love you eternally.

Dear Stella, Brian, Rusty, Mary Jo, Terry and Berry-

I was really sorry to hear about Dick's passing. If I had been able to, I would have made the trip down to see you all.

I was just watching some old videos that my mom had made when her dad visited you all when Aunt Violet was still alive. And a trip that you all had made to PA back in 1994 for a big family reunion.

I'll never forget Dick taking me to buy cowboy boots when Nate and I were down there visiting with Mom and Dad back in 1985!!!!

You are all in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Please know that even though you are so far away, I still am thinking of you all.

Your cousin,
Donna Jean

What an incredible legacy you leave us with and you make us tremendously proud. I remember Uncle Dick you working long hours and that you could fall asleep at the drop of a hat when it was almost time for you to go back on the road. Either you were so exhausted, or you had so much peace in your heart, or possibly both. Despite your hectic schedule, you made time to take all us kids out camping or play with us out in the yard. You are a great Christian man, who had evangelistic tracks or smile cards printed out to help anyone who may have crossed your path. My dad lost his father early and he looked up to you as his special mentor but also his best friend: your words were like gold to him - if JR said it was true it was the gospel truth and nothing else mattered. How fortunate I have been to have such a wonderful uncle and mentor, and I look forward to meeting up with you again in heaven, seeing that smiling face once again, when my time comes to be with the Lord.
