Mr. John T. Powell, Sr, age 90, of Murfreesboro, TN and formerly of Nashville, passed away at his son's home on Friday, January 5, 2018. Mr. Powell was the son of the late Robert and Clara Knight Powell. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen "Kathy" Berryhill Powell; son and his wife, Tommy and Chandy Powell of Bradyville, TN; and grandsons, Taylor and John-Daniel Powell. Services to celebrate Mr. Powell will be Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at Twelve O'clock noon at Roselawn Funeral Home with placement to follow in the Mausoleum at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Military Honors will be provided by the United States Navy. Mr. Powell proudly served his country in the United States Navy and was a longtime employee of Western Electric.
