Larry M. Short

Larry M. Short, age 83, of Smyrna, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, January 8, 2023. He was the son of the late Frank and Margaret Mann Short. He is survived by his wife of over 60 years, Carol Short; sons, Greg Short of Maryland and Steve Short of Smyrna; grandson, Jeff Short of Maryland; sister, Elaine Short of Murfreesboro; and brother, Mike Short of Lebanon. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Janice Todd and Beverly Hickerson. Graveside services to celebrate Mr. Short will be at One O’clock the afternoon of Thursday, January 12, 2023 at Roselawn Memorial Gardens with Pastor Benny Woods officiating. Gathering of family and friends will Thursday morning beginning at Eleven O’clock until the graveside at One O’clock.

Mr. Short was a faithful member of Lifepoint Church in Smyrna, having served as a Deacon and with the youth. He retired from Nissan from the Quality Control Department. He was a longtime supporter of Smyrna High School athletics, having been a scorekeeper for basketball and football. He also loved to follow Vanderbilt athletics. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or Lifepoint Church.
