To know Lois was to know someone who cared deeply about the people around her. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who gave so much of herself to the people she loved. Her family and friends were an important part of her life, and she took great pride in being there for them whenever she was needed.
Lois is survived by her son, Dale Fowler; daughter-in-law, Allison Fowler; grandchildren, Kara Fowler and Noah Bryant; her niece, Kelly Jones, her nephew Andy Jones (Tate Wolf), and her loving partner of 32 years, Doug Fox.
She was preceded in death by her beloved brother, David Jones, and her parents, Andrew Jones and Martha Jones.
Lois had a special place in her heart for the Tennessee Volunteers. She loved her Vols and enjoyed cheering them on, but nothing compared to the love she had for her family and friends. Caring for the people in her life was simply part of who she was.
As a mother, Lois was someone whose love could be counted on. She was there through the good times and the difficult ones, and the love she gave will remain a part of her family forever. As a grandmother, she cherished Kara and Noah and the joy they brought into her life. As a friend, she made people feel cared for and valued.
Her passing leaves a tremendous emptiness for those who loved her. There will be moments when her family and friends will wish they could hear her voice, share another conversation, or simply have one more day with her. But along with the sadness will always be the memories—the laughter, the love, the stories, the time spent together, and all the little things that made Lois who she was.
She may no longer be here to cheer on her Vols, care for the people she loved, or make new memories with her family, but the love she gave will not disappear. Lois will continue to live on in the hearts of everyone who knew and loved her.
She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
A service to celebrate Lois will be at Eleven O'clock the morning of Friday, October 9, 2026, at Roselawn Funeral Home with burial to follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Thursday evening October 8, 2026, from Four O'clock till Eight O'clock.
