

Louise Young Davenport, age 91, passed away peacefully surrounded by loving family members at the Woodbury Nursing Center on Friday, March 25, 2016. She is survived by her daughters, Pat Smith (Virgel) and Linda Watson (Gayland). Also, by her grandchildren, Delaca Watson, Ryan Watson, Trey Smith (Brittany) and great-grandchildren, Brent, Nathan and Maddie Jones. Services to celebrate Mrs. Davenport will be Tuesday afternoon at Three O’clock at Roselawn Funeral Home with Steve Hutson and Fay Underhill Tucker officiating. Placement will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Youree L. Davenport and parents Wilford Francis and Ella Jane Rogers Young. Louise was the youngest of 10 children. She was a native of Rutherford County and lived here all of her life. She worked as a cosmetologist for 60 years. Louise had a natural ability to attract people to her and love them; she listened to their problems and loved them. She had a deep commitment and love for her Lord and her friends and family. In 1942 she graduated from Kittrell High School and graduated from Nashville Beauty and Barber in Nashville the following year. She was a member of Third Baptist Church. Pallbearers will be her sons-in-law and grandsons. The family would like to thank everyone for their prayers, visits, cards and calls during her long decline.
