Mary Frances Jilek

Mary Frances Jilek, born February 1, 1932 in Dayton, OH, joined her savior on October 4, 2025. Mary was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Louise Hauer; her husband of 37 years Herbert Jilek; her sister Margaret Hauer; and her nephew Mark Hauer. Mary is survived by her two sons and daughters-in-law, Steve and his wife Shellie, and Doug and his wife Aiko; her five grandchildren, Steve’s children Ethan and Ava, and Doug’s children Theodore, Kensington, and Christopher; her brother Frank Hauer (Judy, deceased); her three nephews Greg (Katie) Hauer, Chris (Shelly) Hauer, and David (Susan) Hauer; and great nieces and nephews.

Mary was a graduate of Julienne High School and the University of Dayton where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Education. Mary loved being a teacher and principal. Mary enjoyed reading, sewing, and spending time with family and friends, whom she cherished.

We are grateful she is at rest and reunited with her loved ones.

A gathering of family and friends for Mary will be held Monday, October 13, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Roselawn Funeral Home, 5350 NW Broad Street, Murfreesboro, Tennessee 37129, followed by a memorial service to celebrate at 3:00 PM.
