Mary Patricia Tedder

Mary Pat Tedder, age 68, of Smyrna, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, August 1, 2023 at Alive Hospice in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. She was the daughter of the late Margaret Sue Elizabeth and Mark Alfred Ellmore, Sr. and the wife of the late James Tedder, who passed away in 2020. She is survived by twin daughters, Tricia Tedder and Alicia Clifton and her husband Michael; grandson, Jace Clifton; and sister, Carolyn Taylor and her husband Jonathan. She was preceded in death by infant daughter, Jenna Alicia Tedder; and brother, Mark Alfred Ellmore, Jr. Services to celebrate Mrs. Tedder will be Saturday, August 5, 2023 at Three O’clock at Highland Heights Church of Christ in Smyrna with visitation also on Saturday from One O’clock until the service begins at Three O’clock.

Mrs. Tedder was a longtime member of Highland Heights Church of Christ and a Registered Dental Hygienist. She began her career in dentistry on March 1, 1977 and earned her Masters Degree from Tennessee State University. During her career she received several awards including Tennessee Dental Hygiene Award in 1991, Dental Hygiene Director’s Award in 1991, Cashion Schmitt Award in 2000 & 2007 and Distinguished Service Award in 2005. She also held several Professional Offices including 5th District Secretary Dental Hygiene Association in 1998-2000, Nashville Area Dental Hygiene Employment Secretary in 1999-2000, 5th District President Dental Hygiene Association in 2000-2001, Tennessee Academy of Dental Hygiene President in 2003-2004, Tennessee Dental Hygiene Association Annual Session Table Clinic Chairman in 2003-2004 and Tennessee Dental Hygiene Association Secretary in 2005.

Memorials may be made to the Lawrence Gardner Fund or Church of Christ Disaster Relief Fund.
