Later on, she was employed by the General Electric Company in Murfreesboro, TN, before making the decision to be a stay at home mom to her only child. In her later years, she enjoyed working as a private caregiver to those in need and helped build a small circle of caregivers that served many families with assistance to their loved ones. Mildred Eilane was known for her kindness and endless patience with those she served and her gentle spirit brought comfort to many throughout her lifetime.
She enjoyed many hobbies including the love of working in her flowers and keeping a manicured yard. She carried that love over to the inside of her home where she decorated for each holiday and kept such a beautiful home that her family enjoyed immensely. She and her granddaughter, Hallie, spent such sweet time together as Mildred Eilane watched her grow, teaching her so many wonderful qualities that Hallie carries with her today as a young woman. She also was an avid reader and you could find her well into the evening, in her favorite chair, enjoying many different kinds of books, but especially the Bible.
