Paula Yaoulanda Stepp, 61, passed away on July 26, 2026. Born September 7, 1964, in Santee, California, Paula passed away at her home in Cornersville, Tennessee. She will be remembered with deep respect and enduring affection by all who had the privilege to know her.
Paula served as an LPN with a Veterans Administration Hospital in California, a role that reflected the steady devotion and hard work she brought to every day. Her compassionate spirit and thoughtful care were evident in the way she helped others, offering comfort with a gentle presence and a kind heart. Known for her selfless nature and positive attitude, Paula had a way of making people feel seen and supported, and she was loved by everyone she met.
Above all, Paula was a beloved wife and mother with a huge heart. She shared 43 years of marriage with her husband, Archie Stepp, and together they built a life rooted in devotion and love. She is also survived by her daughter, Heather Montoya and her husband, Art; sons, Steven Stepp and Jon C. Stepp; and her grandchildren, Seth Stepp, Katalina Montoya, and Kaydence Montoya.
Paula is survived by her sisters, Barbara Ann Littlebuck, Vicki Gortarez, and Connie Hamilton; and her brothers, Ronnie Woodall and Lawrence Woodall. She was preceded in death by her sister, Phyllis Sorino; her brother, James Woodall; and her sister, Carol Mundinger.
A Graveside Service to Celebrate will be held at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, 5350 NW Broad Street, Murfreesboro, TN 37129, US, on August 12, 2026, at 2:00 pm. All wishing to attend are welcomed to gather at Roselawn Funeral Home at 1:45 pm as there will be a procession to the graveside.
Paula’s life was marked by quiet strength, sincere kindness, and a deep concern for others. Her legacy will live on in the family she cherished, the many lives she touched, and the love she gave so freely.
