

Ralph was the son of the late Homer B. Jacobs and Geneva Thomas Jacobs. He is survived by his children: Terry (Vicki) Jacobs and Donnie (Lisa) Jacobs; daughter, Tammy (Darrell) Fults; and special niece Kim (Allen) Helmholtz. He is also survived by his brothers, Aubrey Jacobs, Ray Don Jacobs, and Lester “LC” Jacobs; 14 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
Ralph was preceded in death by his loving wife of 53 years, Lois Evelyn Jacobs; son, Ralph “David” Jacobs, Jr.; brothers, William “Bill” Jacobs and Charles Homer Jacobs; and sister, Juanita Fann.
Mr. Jacobs proudly served his country in the United States Army. Following his honorable discharge. He began a long and dedicated career with the L&N Railroad, which later became CSX. His career with the railroad took him and his family from Tennessee to Georgia, where he built a life filled with hard work, dedication, and many lasting memories.
Upon his retirement from the railroad, Ralph and his wife returned to Tennessee to be closer to their children and grandchildren, whom he loved dearly.
Ralph was an avid sports fan and especially enjoyed cheering on his beloved Tennessee Vols and Atlanta Braves. He took great pleasure in watching games and sharing his love of sports with those around him.
Above all, Ralph cherished his family. His love, strength, and devotion will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
