Ray Riggins, age 71 of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee, passed away on Wednesday, May 29, 2024 at Alive Hospice in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Mr. Riggins was the son of the late Arthur and Irene Richards Riggins. Mr. Riggins is survived by his loving wife, Debra Riggins; son, Rick Riggins; granddaughter, Mahayla Adams and her husband, Eli; great grandson, Malakai Adams; and brother, David Riggins. He is preceded in death by sister, Evelyn Kersey; brothers, James, Wes and Harold Riggins.
Service to celebrate Ray will be at Eleven O’clock the morning of Thursday, June 6, 2024 at Roselawn Funeral Home with Steve James officiating. Burial to follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends are cordially invited to visitation from Three O’clock till Seven O’clock the evening of Wednesday, June 5, 2024 also at Roselawn Funeral Home. Friends will serve as pallbearers.
Mr. Riggins proudly served his country in the US Army during the Viet Nam Era. He was stationed at Fort Sill, OK, Fort McClellan, AL and also in Germany. He is one of the last surviving members of the Outlaws of the 365 Transportation. Following his service, he was a truck driver for the United States Post Office. He was a skilled knife craftsman and woodworker along with loving to ride motorcycles. He was the most humble man you could have ever met!
