Mr. Phillips was the son of the late Everett and Ollie Ferne Hill Phillips.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Margaret Phillips; son, Kenneth Phillips; daughters, Connie Phillips, Jane Carr and Becky (Jimmy) Flatt; brother, Ernest Wayne (Ada Belle) Phillips; Eight grandchildren and Six great grandchildren.
Graveside services to celebrate Mr. Phillips will be at 3:00pm Saturday at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, which will include military honors.
Mr. Phillips was a veteran of the US Navy and he worked at Avco in Nashville for many years along with many other aerospace companies throughout the United States and Canada. Friends are cordially invited to a visitation Saturday from 1:00 till 3:00pm at Roselawn Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.
