Richard was a car guy his whole life. He owned 3 gas stations and realized his dream when he opened DeMarsico Pontiac, Oldsmobile and GMC in Brewster, NY. He spent the later part of his career working for himself as a previously owned auto broker. He loved the thrill of going to the auto auction and trying to outbid other brokers and then taking the cars he won and selling them to the public. The joke was that Richard would leave home in the morning in one car and return home that evening in a completely different car or multiple cars in the same day.

Richard's motto was "it doesn't cost anything to be nice to someone." He was a great mentor and joke teller. Above of all, he loved to cook and entertain friends and family. He was especially pleased to have gone to the country of his families' origin, Italy.

Richard was a great man, and a great friend! He always cared more about everyone around him more than himself. He always had a smile and a kind word for everyone.
I met Richard when I was just getting started in my business. He helped me a lot. He encouraged me, and was a constant cheerleader as I grew - I honestly owe some of my success to his conversations with me.
I miss him already thinking about him - I am privileged to call him and Dee and his wonderful family my friends:)

Richard was Mr.Hospitality....with his love of cooking wonderful Italian dishes and love of entertaining family and friends....that is what brought him much happiness!I could always make him laugh....and vice versa....and he loved music....especially Sinatra,Tony Bennett and Elvis! The move to Tennessee brought trepidation initially...but he adjusted and was happy to be in such a friendly, kind "Music City"enviornment with His Dee....Rest easy,my friend

He had a real joy in living, whether it was playing the genial host at his home on weekends with a large group of friends over for dinner or just the fun to be had by roaring around his apartment complex in his motorized wheelchair.
