Roger Dale Hammond

Roger Dale Hammond departed for his heavenly home on Thursday, September 23, 2021. He was a true soldier of the cross and loved and served his Lord over 40 years in 6 pastorates. He leaves behind his much beloved wife of 45 years, Alice Hammond. He was the loving father to Son Robert Hammond (Stephanie) and grandson, Dylan. Son, Michael Hammond (Amber), grandchildren, Marissa, Cody, Maranda, Laci, Kayla, Jaden and McKenzie. Daughter, Angela Sprout (Lee), grandchildren Kayla and Austin, and great grandchild Nathaniel. Brother, Charles Hammond. He was the son of the late Samuel Hollands Hammond and Willie O’Geal Jones Hammond and brother of the late Nancy Elizabeth Hammond. Services to celebrate Mr. Hammond's life will be at One O’clock the afternoon of Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at Eastwood Baptist Church in Nashville with Rev. Tommy Luther and Dr. Jess Love officiating. Final placement will be at Three O’clock Wednesday at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Friends are cordially invited to visitation Tuesday evening at Roselawn Memorial Gardens from Three O’clock until Seven O’clock and at the church Wednesday from Eleven O’clock in the morning until the service begins at One O’clock.
