Ronald Porter, loving husband and father of four, passed away on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at the age of 71. Ron was born on August 12, 1947 in Dayton, Ohio and was the son of the late Roy and Charlotte Porter. He is survived by his wife Linda of 27 Years, four children; Ryan Porter, Rana Fisher (husband Mike), Adam Sauer, and Jeron Porter; brothers Roger (wife Cheryl), Roderick (wife Sandy); sister Rene’. Grandchildren Kaeden Fisher, Kennedy Fisher and Khylie Porter along with many nieces and nephews and his faithful dog Graco. A memorial service to celebrate Ron’s life will be at 3’Oclock on the afternoon of Thursday, August 30, 2018 at Roselawn Funeral Home in Murfreesboro with military honors. Ron served two distinguished tours as a Marine in Vietnam concluding with service in the Personal Security Unit for the United States Ambassador, Ellsworth Bunker. Ron was a Clint Eastwood fan, a member of the NRA and advocate for homeless veterans. He put others first and never failed to offer a helping hand wherever it was needed. Ron had many friends who join us in the pain of this loss. Ron is preceded in death by his mother Charlotte and his father Roy.
