Sandra Perrin of Smyrna, TN, passed away Saturday, July 20, 2019 of Lewy Body Dementia. Born and raised in Birmingham, AL, Sandra always spoke very fondly of her childhood home and the neighborhood where she grew up. She served as President and Treasurer of Kappa Kai sorority in high school and was employed at Hayes Aircraft Corp. after graduation. As an adult, Sandra worked in various areas of the state and federal government, including the Veteran’s Administration and the Department of Labor prior to retiring from the Social Security Administration. Sandra loved a good joke and a funny story. A natural storyteller herself, she enjoyed nothing more than to visit with family and friends, tell amusing anecdotes and laugh. Even while suffering with the worst aspects of Lewy Body Dementia, she still was able to entertain the other nursing home residents and facility staff with her wonderful sense of humor. Sandra also enjoyed music and dancing, although not an expert in either. Nonetheless, she loved playing the piano and tap dancing well into her 60s. She is survived by her daughters, Stacy (Jason) Harpole of Berryville, AR and Shelly (Nathan) Rogers of La Vergne, TN; grandchildren Jacy, Jason, Joelle and Jeffrey Harpole, and Coraline, Nora and Marigold Rogers; uncles John Earl Isbell of Chelsea, AL and Glenn (Shelby) Isbell of Smyrna, TN; many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends in both Tennessee and Alabama. She is also survived by her care companion of the last 1 1/2 years, Marisa Rust. She is preceded in death by her parents Charles and Pauline Perrin, her bother Charles Larry Perrin, and her beloved uncle Leonard Isbell, whom she affectionately called “Ubber.“ In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Sandra's memory to Community Care of Rutherford County, 901 County Farm Rd., Murfreesboro, TN 37127. On Saturday, July 27th, 2019, at Roselawn Funeral Home, Sandra's family and friends will gather for a Memorial Gathering to celebrate her life. Those wishing to attend can begin to gather at Eleven Thirty in the morning with the celebration to begin at Twelve noon. This will be a time for those who may wish to share a memory of Sandra. ADD A MEMORY
Diane Amico

July 27, 2019

Sandra and my Mom Jean Amico became friends when Sandra lived at The Bridge at Hickory Woods. They sat at the same dining table and she always spoke about her daughters and her adventures in places that she lived. Great sense of humor. So sorry to have missed the service. My thoughts and prayers are with the entire family and all who knew her.

I have so many wonderful memories of my time with Sandra. She was so funny and fun to be with. I wish I could have seen her more often in the last few years but I live in Georgia and it was far for me to drive. I'm so glad I got to see her last July and she knew me so that was great. I have missed her but she was always in my prayers. To her family I send my deepest condolences and my thoughts and prayers are with you.

Sometimes we just need to know that people care and are keeping us close in heart. . . This is one of those times and know we are those people. We will continue to keep you in our prayers.

We have lost a good and dear friend who always brought a smile to our faces. She will be missed greatly.

Love,
Carolyn & James
