

Stetson Taylor McFarland, was born May 27, 2011 in Smyrna, Tennessee. He went Home to be with Jesus on January 30, 2015. He is survived by his parents, Nathan and Alisha McFarland and his sister, Lillian Kathryn (Lilli Kate) McFarland all of Smyrna, TN; his paternal grandparents, Donald and Laura McFarland (Pa-Paw and Nonnie) of Trenton, GA; his maternal grandparents, Eddie and Jo Shewmaker (Granddad and Grandma Jo-Jo) of Lebanon, TN; his uncle, Matthew McFarland of Murfreesboro, TN; his uncles Tyler and Nik Shewmaker (Uncle T. and Nik-Nik) of Hendersonville, TN; his paternal great grandparents, Jack and Jean McFarland of Rolla, MO and Carolyn Layton of Wellsville, KS; his maternal great grandparents, Mary Shewmaker (Gram) of Lebanon, TN and Mary Feagans of Hopkinsville, KY; and several great Aunts and Uncles. The Celebration of Stetson’s life will be at Twelve Noon on Thursday, February 5, 2015 at New Vision Baptist Church with placement to follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Stetson is preceded in death by his paternal great grandfather, Glenn Layton, Jr. and maternal great grandfather, LeRoy Shewmaker. Stetson loved his whole family and would remind them frequently that he loved them. He loved riding on his Daddy’s back; playing with his sister and friends and singing and dancing with his Momma. He loved anything to do with trains (train rides, setting up train tracks and making things out of trains). He also loved anything to do with wheels, keys, mow-mow (lawn mower), tools and reading books.
