He was born in Bowling Green, Kentucky in 1956 to Josephine "Jodi" and Joseph "Jerry" Fulkerson as the youngest of three children. Steve was known to love traveling and road trips to the point he spent some of his younger adult years hitchhiking around the United States. Friends and family would hear about his one of kind stories from that trip throughout his life. His adventurous spirit turned into a hobby of the great outdoors which included kayaking, canoeing, and white water rafting. He was also known for being very hands-on and gladly seeked out how to fix any and everything. He would want to renovate multiple rooms while also learning how to do a model car. Later in life those traits showed up as learning how to wood carve in his spare time at his apartment. He was known as the comedian in every room with his dry and sarcastic humor. It was a trait he took pride in along with his independence and strength which shined through during both of his fights with cancer. He was a strong man who will be sorely missed.
Steve was proceeded in death by both his parents Jerry (2014) and Jodie (2016) Fulkerson. He is survived by his sisters Sandy (Steve) Stahl and Becky (Jerry) Goff, his son Ryan (Lisa) Fulkerson, his daughter Delaney (Shane) Fulkerson, his step daughter Jennifer, his nieces Christy, Stephanie, Melanie, and Maria, his nephew Andy, and his grandsons Tyler, Taylor, and Tanner.
Mr. Fulkerson's family will celebrate him privately.
