It is with sad hearts that we announce the passing of Tammy Michell Fulwider, age 55, of Smyrna, Tennessee, on Monday, August 24, 2026. Tammy will be remembered as a beloved daughter, sister, and aunt whose steady loyalty and kind-hearted spirit shaped the lives of those who knew her. In the quiet ways that mattered most, she offered compassion, thoughtfulness, and generosity—always with a faithful, selfless devotion to the people she loved.
Tammy is survived by her mother and best friend, Betty Fulwider; her father, Tom Fulwider, Sr. (Peggy); and her brothers, Tom Fulwider, Jr. (Crystal) and Terry Fulwider (Lynn). She is also survived by her nieces and nephews, Austin (Lily Motok), Mikayla, Mallory (Asher), Abbey, and Bennett Morgan (Sam Young); and her great-nephews, Aleczandir and Zaiden.
Tammy was the long time Chief Executive Assistant to the Attorney General Of the State of Tennessee. Through years of hard work and steadfast dedication, she served with professionalism and care, bringing a dependable presence to her work and a sincere respect for the responsibilities entrusted to her.
A private person by nature, Tammy expressed herself with warmth and intention through the things she loved. She was passionate about arts and crafts, and each year she poured that care into making Christmas ornaments for her nieces and nephews—small keepsakes that carried her love and attention to detail. She was also a devoted Country Music fan who especially loved Dolly Parton and Trisha Yearwood, and she held a fan membership with the Country Music Hall of Fame. Tammy and her mother frequently attended concerts and especially loved those at the Ryman Auditorium, sharing meaningful time together through music and tradition.
