

Ted Beach, age 82, of Murfreesboro, passed away at St. Thomas Midtown Hospital on Tuesday, December 16, 2014. Mr. Beach was born in Covington, Kentucky to the late Clay and Ona Mae Landrum Beach. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Thelma Beach; daughters, Susan (Robert) Yost and Vicki (Paul) Scott; son, Clay (Annette) Beach; sister, Claudia Frazier; brothers, Tom and Larry Beach; grandchildren, Robbie Yost, Kathryn Yost Bae, Megan and Emily Scott, Adam, Caroline and Madeline Beach. The family will honor his life with a Celebration the morning of Saturday, December 20 at Eleven O’clock at Westwood Baptist Church with Jason Morrison officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Goodlettsville. Mr. Beach was a veteran of the US Navy, having served in the Korean War. He graduated from Campbellsville College and attended Belmont University. He was a deacon and member of Westwood Baptist Church, until his death he was the oldest living former member of the Murfreesboro City Council and longtime owner of Beach Insurance Agency. He also was a member of the Lions Club, The Sportsman’s Club, City Café Coffee Club and an avid golfer. He was a longtime member of the Blue Raider club and had the same seats at MTSU’s Murphy Center since 1972. In lieu of customary floral tributes, memorials may be made to Westwood Baptist, 1320 Brinkley Road, Murfreesboro, TN 37128. Friends are cordially invited to visitation Friday evening from Four till Eight O’clock and one hour prior to the service on Saturday at Westwood Baptist Church.
